Hey Matt could you keep us updated? Still no issue whatsoever?

I'm on to the verge of buying them. Can't find any decent tit. headers besides Austin Racing and yours which are compatible with the belly protector aswell. Austin's look great but I would overpay the chinese ones just on the import tariff and tax which is ridiculous.

Hi mate. Everything is still good with the Chinese headers. No issues whatsoever. Still retaining the nice purple colour. To be honest it was one of my best purchases. Hard to beat for the price. Fortunately I didnt get hit with any import duties etc. I was expecting too but didn't.
 
Interesting about the under pipe location difference between some of them offered on Aliexpress. Look for 790 Duke header and it comes up with one that runs underneath the engine as opposed to beside like the stock system. Not a big deal if one doesn't have a bellypan or crash bars that run underneath. A big deal if one does have either of those. Good to know. I found another distributor that has the header for the Adventure ready to go.

Didn't see anyone say this worked on an 890R but just rolled the dice and ordered the one linked by Prick above. If it doesn't work I'll dump it in the classifieds.

Based on the fact that Arrow has the same part number listed for their header for the 790 and the 890 it seemed like a fairly safe bet.
 
LOL wow so yeah not for me. The pipe looks pretty good I guess. I do a little GTAW myself and I couldn't do this good, so it has that going for it. But that's about it.

Fitment absolutely sucks. It's like someone dropped the jig off of the bench and everything is off just a little bit. I couldn't get anything lined up and not be precariously tight and out of whack. Also, the end of the outlet of the header was flanged outward just enough (from a sloppy cut) that getting the gasket onto it was nearly impossible. After fighting with it for about an hour I gave up. I don't need blue pipes THAT bad.

Totally bad roll of the dice. Maybe others will get lucky like OP but this one will go into the scrap bin. Maybe I can practice stacking dimes on it myself. I need a better purge setup for Titanium alloy though.

I didn't weigh it or the stock header. I was too angry at that point. When I was finished bolting the stock header back on I realized I forgot sorry. Honestly they are not that different so I would be surprised if it's more than a few lbs.
 
Oh yeah one other thing, the flange ring holes were like 1mm too narrow. You could get them on the studs but they didn't want to be there at all. I could have hogged them out a little bit but that also would have been pretty sloppy.
 
The fitment for mine was really bad too used dremel so It fit over studs then i started from the cat partly tightened the clamp while holding the pipe in place then forcing header pipes to the head and fixing them in place finally after a couple of hours it is on but I'm not so confident on the seal between the cat and the header pipe.
 
nothing negative to report on mine I got! - also a slightly diff design... for $300, cant beat it! (until I blow it out lol which i would like to think that is unlikely... ive done it to others tho hindle SS cough cough

The ones advertised for the duke don't follow the same lines as the original header and hang under the engine where it meets the cat.Think its a copy of a race header.
Hey man can u provide me with update on how are your Ti headers from china holding up? I am about to pull the trigger on a set as well for my 890. Any pictures ?

Anybody know if the Adventure specific one with decat pipe will fit the Duke OK?

Yes it does. I have it on mine. I have a s2 concepts belly pan coming as well as I couldnt find a ktm powersports version in stock ATM

I can post pics, holding up 👍 and they even put a 3rs 02 sensor bung for my Rapidbike EVO my Tuning module wideband kit 👍

Fit just fine, took a sec to figure out the exhaust puzzle as it was a different route than i was expecting lol, not bad tho so far. I will be tracking this so it will be thoroughly tested. Ill try to remember to post something up about a post purchase review. So far so good tho. That is the only chinese made **** i would ever consider tho on my KTM.

Looks sharp , I might pull the trigger then. Its weird that it has only changed colors in few places. Do you have picture of the bike on the ground , with wheels and etc? Got any sound clips ? I have spark dual exhaust and its loud with catalyst in place cant decide if I should decat or not.

Mine is loud as it gets, and I love it, not for the feint. It's easy to swap out the catalytic converter and see for yourself if it's something you want to do or not.

As far as coloring, I have 100miles on this header if that, I'm sure there will be more color once I get up to proper temps and get some use out of the new girl.

I guess it makes sense might try to remove cat and do a small resonator/muffler on its place there seems to be enough space. I am not sure if the gains are worth it considering u can get same power with Cat and without Cat. Only pro is that the bike will run cooler and probably shoot flames :D.
