Hi

I was looking at the Meta DefComT, it's a plug and play option for the DUKE 790 and probably many bikes as they have this universal plug under the seat or at least I am lead to believe that.

KTM do offer this alarm specifically for the DUKE790 - 60112035000 £250-£300

You can buy the alarm for £110 and the reed switch for £20, so what's the catch?
There's even a fitting kit that comes with the reed switch for £45 - 64112938044

£130 vs £250+

I got my def com t.

Hopefully I can get the LED to work. I would like to know that the alarm is armed correctly, even if its the external LED. 🤞 Do the indicators not flash when you arm/disarm? Most alarms I have had, disarm 2 flashes of indicator 1 when armed.

So today I managed to fit this alarm along with the KTM fitting kit, which is basically the metal plate.

I could only pair one remote.
When I press button A on the working report = 1 indicator flash, no beep. Then it seems like the tilt function is disabled, I can move the bike without the alarm going off but if I put the ignition to on the alarm will go off.

I need to wire up the LED to the KTM loom, has anyone done this successfully with some clear pictures? The information above is for the Meta loom. I guess 4th wire across the top where the latch it, cut and solder.

Anyone have any idea?

I was told that without reprogramming this alarm isn't doing much. Passive arming of the immobiliser is basically its function until you have it "remapped" it. All mine would do was sound the alarm when the ignition was turned on. I could move and rock the bike and it didn't go off.
You can remove passive arming altogether, have passive arming enable tilt/knock functions or have passive turn off and all the functions enabled via the press of a button but those options seem to require reprogramming, PRG007 is what people seem to use.
The only time I could get the alarm to sound when moving the bike was to press the panic button and then turn off the alarm via the smaller button, at that point the alarm would beep once and the tilt sensor was active/enabled.
