Hey Folks,

took my bike in last week for its 9,000 mile service. Got the bike back, almost got to my house, bike did a big thud, abs & traction control failure, bike continued to run. Got home, as I went to turn the bike off, it turned off by itself. I tried to start it again but everything was completely dead. No juice whatsoever. Looked at my battery, it was swollen as hell. Had another battery on hand and attempted to swap, but upon mating the negative wire terminal, the bike attempted to crank without the key. Began to un-terminate the negative wire terminal, and as I was doing so, the bike stopped cranking. Looked at the battery, another swollen shot battery. Called the shop, they told me probably a shorted starter relay. Went back and they gave me a new one. Plugged that one in, bike is doing the same thing. Tries to crank over but I didn’t let it in fear of it destroying this brand new battery I just bought. Seeing as how I have a brand new relay and battery, im assuming there’s a short somewhere. At a loss, don’t know what to do. Regretting my purchase now of 2 years. Would appreciate some help from you fine gentleman. Thank you

That’s my concern, is they’ll find the issue in which they may have cause and charge me for it anyway after the near $500 I just spent on the service.
It’s about 10 miles from my house
