Hello Everyone,

I have a stock 2020 KTM Duke 790 and I bought KTM bar end mirrors (64112940100), but they don’t fit! As you can see, when unscrewing the stock bar end, you’ll see the clamp in the bar end. But when you go to install the bar end mirrors; following the install instructions listed in the manual for the part number from KTM (https://d2akct5dekqm4p.cloudfront.n...loudfront.net/53/media/pdf/dok-pp-bed-64112940000-100-fi-sall-awsg-v1-39008.pdf), there is nothing for the bar end mirror to screw into. Anyone having this issue?? Am I missing a step?

Thanks!

You have the tapered nut on in the wrong direction. Flip it and align with the slots in the expansion collar. Install and snug it up. Hope that helps.
Thanks Sir_Duke! I will try that out. So, when you go to screw it tight, the tapered nut will drive that expansion collar apart and will clamp in the handle bar?

The slots on the collar mesh with the splines of the nut and are held secure while turning the screw. As you tighten the screw it'll draw in that tapered nut causing the collar to spread and wedge in the bar. The way you have it assembled in the photo would try to crush the collar likely breaking the screw or damaging something else.
Cheers.

Roger that! I will give that a shot! Thanks for your help! Do you have these mirrors? How do you like them?
