We seem to be spread around the globe a bit - I was wondering if anybody would be interested if we compiled a summary at least our country locations??

I for one am:

Continent: Europe

Country: Spain

Nationality: UK

I realize that this sort of thing is a bit tricky to compile in a forum due to the very nature of replying to posts, but I just thought it may be interesting......:nerd:

Hi mate ,interesting idea.Seems like a good one.As you say we are spread about a bit.Would be interesting to catch up with people if you are visiting another country on the bike.
Like you have done we could give basic information on our location and it would be up to the member if he/she wanted to show a more specific location.
Myself I am;
Continent: Europe

Country: UK

Nationality: UK

Area/County: West Yorkshire

Dont know if the idea will catch on mate, but why not give it a try.
Hopefully will be touring again in Spain next year but will probably be on my 1190 Adv.Love it over there.
All the best mate.

West Yorkshire!!!!! - God's country. Between West & North Yorkshire (plus bits of Northumberland & Cumbria), must be the best biking area of England. In biking terms I accept Scotland is different!!!!!

I'm originally from where Manchester (nearly) meets W Yorks - Stalybridge, but lived in Leeds for several years.

Maybe the location idea won't catch on :crying:, but nothing ventured.......

Guys i think this a nice idea but is to general perhaps a better way would be to use say google earth
pick a location near 1-2miles from home say a large roundabout or the nearest major road junction (but not your actual home to give protection)
then copy this forum with your kmz file from google earth to build up a good map
I would suggest a new thread called Location to separate it from other threads

this forum does not allow googles kmz file files to be shared directly so you must zip the kmz file first

other ideas?????

Hi mate, yep I know Stalybridge. Not that far away from me in Huddersfield.Yes I must admit we have some pretty good roads once you get into the Dales and the Peak district, you just have to get off the beaten track to avoid the cops and the traffic, and am always finding new routes to avoid them:)
Its just the inbetween bits that you have to deal with all the idiots and the potholes:(

Lived up Scotland for 10years and the roads up there(on the West Coast)are just fantastic.
Enjoy the 790 mate.

I think the real problem is too few active members, there are only 16 members whom have posted 10 or more times, yet there are 1000's of views just not enough interest.

anyone know how many 790 sold world wide yet?
must be 1000's
perhaps forums have passed to social media

Great idea.
I’m in the Pacific NW of the US
We’re awaiting delivery of the 790. None here yet. We seem to be among the last to receive new KTM products.
Of course just in time for winter.
I currently own a 1290 Super Duke and have sold my 690 and 390 Dukes to free up garage space for the new 790.

Anyone know if they’re coming out with an R version?

hi you will not regret selling your 690 to buy a 790 i did this too, but i must say i kept the 390 i should sell it but i have had so much fun on this little beast
I was looking forward to a 790R but last week my dealer said KTM had dropped the idea so maybe its just a case of make your own

So how to make an R
I would say Front brakes
Forks
Rear Shock
More Power

Front Brakes I have fitted a Brembo master cylinder which has made a significant improvement in feel and bite.
Forks I am considering the the Andreani Misano fork cartridge kit for KTM DUKE 790 picture below
Rear Shock still thinking
More power well if you look at the coober ecu plus decat you can gain 10-15% BHP/Torque

So i think this would be close to an R version this lot would be circa 2500-3000 probably the price difference between a 790 and 790R

I remember when Casey Stoner said that to Rossi, I almost peed my pants laughing. Rossi should've taken off his helmet though, (when he went to apologize), He's such a funny facker.
I was a huge Casey fan so yeah, that whole race/crash/follow up convo in Caseys pit box was awesome - he gave the GOAT ZERO respect - whatta boss.
