If the shock comes of a bike with dog bone and link plates then the internals and spring rates would be way out. It would be hard to find any shock that would suit the 790 as its a direct compression rather than a linkage system. But there are some bikes with the similar setup as the 790. You would need to run the shock over a shock dyno along with the stock shock to see if they are compatible.Anybody fitted an OEM rear shock from Japanese or European sport bike? They are always cheap on eBay and would be fully adjustable. If static length of mounts were the same I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
