What kind of rules do you have exactly, in the UK?

Essential shops are open. Nothing else. No socialising out of the household. No unnecessary travel. Fines of up to £10,000 for breaches, unless you are a politician or a celeb. The rules only apply to the "little people", doncha know.

So far, 15,000,000 vaccinated and R rate below 1, so progress being made.

Similar restrictions up here in Canuckland.

"No socializing outside of your own family bubble" or 6 "safe" people I think is the rule currently so for example most restaurants are open but there are a LOT of new restrictions in place:

• plexiglass barriers and/or 2M (6') distance between tables - most dine in places have seating capacity decreased by 50-65% currently.
• contract tracing so your name and contact number has to be given at the entrance - some places take your temperature as well. Almost all ask you to sanitize hands upon entry too.
• time limits - most places say you have an hour to eat and GTFO - no lingering.
• while inside - masks off at table but anywhere else it has to be on, and ZERO moving about so if you have friends show up - you can't swing by and say Hi.

Things like live bands are not allowed, no advertising ANY activities like MMA PPV, Superbowl, etc... even background music has to be kept to "conversation levels" - weird one I now.

Vaccine rollout has been a JOKE - 38 million population and 2 months in I think we're 1.3 million doses administered.

I fall into the lowest risk category so I'm scheduled for late august-early Sept vaccination barring any further delays.

Pubs and restaurants can do take away food. No booze. Same for cafes. I live in a coastal tourist resort on the Jurassic Coast and it's dead. Even at this time of year there would be some tourists, but not this year. Last year the season was cut short too. Awful for local businesses.

Same here along the coast in Torbay.
Traffic still pretty busy so there must be a lot of essential shopping going on 🤔

But the Duke is SORN'd (means I can't use it but doesn't need to be taxed) Jan and Feb but hopefully getting it ready for the 1st March. Announcement next Monday regarding lifting the lockdown

We haven't had the "Safe 6" rule since Nov/Dec. You can only eat/socialize with your household now. A person that lives alone can latch on to a household and be ok, but that's now their only people. You can go to a restaurant but your friends have to be at different tables. I seem to be the only person that masks up when I order, I feel bad for the servers.

Here we expect a new set of rules next week - things change about every 15 days.
What's more confusing is that the rules for Social and Business gatherings differ.
I have to organize a course for the entire Town Hall - in shifts of 7-10 folk.

It's as cold A.F. Here in Northern Illinois U.S.A.. we've had a lot of snow too. High temp. is in the low 20 to high teens Fahrenheit this week. That's like -8 c, I guess? That's been a warm up from well below 0' (-17'C) before wind chill.

It's after 2:00pm here and it's 31'F (is that -0.5556' C?) in my garage. I've got some exciting mods for my KTM but I'll wait till it's a little warmer to put them on.
I was able to ride as I like all this past summer and I expect the same for this coming season. I'm really looking forward to rolling out the 790 soon.

It's going to be 10c tomorrow but 50 mph winds here in the south-west and chucking it down. Get all the bad weather out the way before lockdown finishes, please. We walk miles every day with our border collie, even in the foul weather, It's so bad here they keep having to reshape the beach. It's shingle and it gets blown and washed inland, so every few weeks they get a digger in to sort it. Not really biking weather yet.

We have a month or two of it then? Here we MIGHT be allowed to move between provinces at Easter.
But within provinces we can at least move.

The place I work is right on one provincial border - Good roads and this week last there have been loads of bikes passing through, taking advantage of decent weather - unable to skirt the village as those roads are in another province. The issue is that it is NOT a bike friendly village. Not quite "Deliverance" country, but close. Where I live conversely is bike friendly, but the roads aren't quite as "interesting".

We have a seriously rotten Sunday forecast.

Today managed a trip down to see my mates at their workshop in Madrid.
Today was a bit of a Golden Oldie repair day.
Old 2stroke Bultaco and a lovely 350 Ducati Single plus Triumph T100 up on the benches.
Spent the morning there helping out.

On leave next week - Mon-Wed looks good. After that - well not so good.
