Hi all, been lurking on here a few days, thought I’d say hello.

Prospective owner, just looking at minute due to recoveries from broken/mangled arm (not bike related)..

Had bikes from 16, now 57 but own nothing modern.

My “modern” bike is a 79 CBX1000, but getting heavy for an old bugger, so thought I’d pep up the riding with something new.

Just been to The Potteries at Stoke On Trent today for a look and sit. Can’t believe how small and light it is. (Bored On sick)!!

I’ll post a road review as soon as I can get on one, hopefully just before plonking down the cash.

Cheers all

Welcome to the forum.

Have you had the chance to sit on a 790 as yet? With all the rounds it makes to most motorcycle shows and of course dealers, there will be many opportunities for those still sitting on the fence.
Hi Prospective 790’er,
If your regular ride is that old beast then your in for eye opener, and the experience will not be “bored”
(I think you meant board ?)
Yes, things have moved on a bit, but nothing wrong with some old metal, I have a few myself.
Their are lots of electronics on the 790, but it’s all good, a big difference from the old ‘70 ‘s heavy old muscle bikes.
Enjoy your test ride.

Yes, I sat on one yesterday, shows you how much technology has moved on. Feels like a 125.

I meant bored being on the sick for 6 weeks!!!

I can’t wait for the all clear, I’ll be on the phone as soon as I leave the hospital.
Well, after a visit to the hospital, my broken arm hasn’t started to heal yet, so no biking for at least 2 months, bummer.

So, Manchester bike show is on this weekend and I think the KTM stand is going to get hammered. Can at least get my bum on the 790 yet again.
