Hi all, new member here from down under.

It's quite hot here, so although I like the feeling of the stock tire pressures (33psi front and 38 psi rear), I've dropped them as it's very hot here and in the twisties the tyres heat up and pressures go a bit higher than in native Austria! I'm not sure if this has made a lot of difference though.

I also weigh a bit over 100kg plus all the usual gear so I'm wondering if I should adjust the rear shock - I've just left it at the factory setting out of the 10 available. Has anyone played around with this and think it might be worth stiffening the rear a little to match the front forks?

I'm interested in other's experiences as when I tweak things like this i usually don't really feel much difference!

Cheers

Hi there, Tyre pressures are a bit subjective and a guide anyway. Your choice to lower them is probably right due to the high temperatures you have. I would make small changes of adjustment and note the changes till you are happy.
I have not adjusted the rear preload as it seems fine in standard for me.

The preload has more of an effect on ride height than anything. If the sag is wrong due to weight, the only real way to correct it is with a different spring. But then, rebound damping would not be ideal for the stiffer spring, and into the wormhole of suspension you go.....

I think you're right about the wormhole.

I might go a couple of clicks to try and raise the rear a little, though if I feel nothing beneficial I'll just stop thinking about it.

Same goes for tyre pressures @Bugz
