Hello everyone! I just picked up a 790 duke last week! I already ordered a comfort seat, rear seat cowel and the gps bracket. Anyone know what screws I need to pick up to replace the ones holding the rear seat grab handle are? I want to remove the handle but I think I cant reuse the same length screws.

Ah-collar Screw M8x50 Isa45
Part Number: 0035080506S
Availability: 5-7 days
Qty Required: 4
Price Each: £2.76

That's the parts that come with it fitted... According to the specs anyway.

When i fitted mine they were different lengths i think with the rail fitted. So maybe that's the size.... Whip out the bolts and see if they're all the same length and go from there then.
If they're M8, then Ebay will help...

Hello and welcome!
They are different size yes.
Does your bike come with the grab handle already installed? If so, you should get shorter ones with for no cost, if not->they should provide you with ones. Remember to ask.
Cheers!

I went through the costco program so I payed 478 dollars under MSRP.

Man did you overpay - My Costco program saved me even more
something like 3K - plus they threw in a 1290 Super Duke R and a 100$ Costco card to boot

I used an angle grinder to shorten the rearmost bolts, one on each side. The front bolt had enough internal clearance I didn't need to shorten it. To figure out how much I needed to shorten, I tightened it as far as I could, eyeballed the difference, and took off a little more than that. Worked well.

You are correct though, the bolts are too long and won't tighten all the way if the grab handle is removed.

Clearly he's joking with you.

Welcome to the group! Such an incredible bike, post up some pix!
