Hello all, got my black 2018 Duke 790 A2 a while ago and enjoying it in Madrid!

Already installed a couple of mods for the bike:

PP Bar-end Mirrors folded down
SC Project SC1-R Exhaust
R&G Tail tidy
PP rear seat cover

I have to say even though the bike is limited, it still is fun and the power delivery is nice. I do suffer a bit from the throttle during low speed city driving but I know it will be better after the first service when the bike will be updated.

PS: While removing the passenger pegs, I mistakingly managed to de-thread one of the screw holes. I can still manage to lock in the screw because the far end threads are there but anyone know if it is possible to "Re-thread" the screw hole?

Ride safe everyone

Welcome.

Heli-Coil is the phrase you need at your local engineering shop :)

Thank you, I would have to ask around for the Spanish version of a Heli-Coil.

Que hay tio? How goes it? Congrats on the 790! Lived in Madrid for a year, loved it. Where about are ya? Must be a blast riding around the city.
Glad to have a new member on the forum.
How tall are you and how are you finding those PP bar-end mirrors?
I've been considering getting them but wanting to hear first hand experience before following through on the purchase.

Thanks!

All is well and Gracias! Yeah Madrid is a blast and although I just commute with the bike due to traffic being hectic always.

I love riding outside of the city to head to Puerto de la Cruz Verde and other places. I will wait for August when the city gets empty to ride the bike in the center of Madrid.

180cm tall here and I am comfortable with the PP bar end mirrors. I adjusted them in the downward position and they do not hit the tank when the handlebar is tilted to the right or left.

Only thing you have to get used to is adjusting the location so that your wrists do not cover the mirrors and you can glance directly at them.

If you do not want to do that the stock mirror locations are still the best for practicality.
