Noted Katie wouldn't accept throttle and started to hit an rpm limit in all gears, varying from 4500 to 7500 RPM.

Now malfunction indicator aka check engine light is on steady, and the RPMs are limited to 5000.

Will call dealer tomorrow. Anyone had this happen?

Shop says diagnostic indicated low voltage at the 02 sensor. They checked voltage, found normal, reset malfunction indicator. Said I would know immediately if not fixed, and I did. Limited to 1/3 throttle and 4000RPM. Shop has ordered 02 sensors.

Standing by, riding not.

And sorted. Shop found fuel tank cap drain hose pinched to frame by a zap strap, wouldn't allow water to drain. So when cap opened, water poured into tank.

New fuel pump installed, charged to KTM under warranty.

Throttle response and power restored. All good.

Still awaiting KTMs solution to the porous engine casting (see other post).

This post concluded here.
