Mid way through the season and it looks like the relationship between KTM and Zarco in not going to continue. Apparently, Zarco can not connect to the RC16. A two time Moto2 champion and successful on the satellite Yamaha, Zarco is unable to make any significant progress on the KTM.

Shame. And this comes after KTM's best result in the premier class, this weekend.

There is a lot of info online. Here is one source: https://us.motorsport.com/motogp/news/zarco-ktm-2020-split/4512393/

And from MotoGP.com: https://www.motogp.com/en/news/2019/08/12/zarco-and-red-bull-ktm-announce-split/304917

KTM did get a 3rd podium with Pol, but that was in a wet race. Binder was awesome sliding that Triumph/KTM to win Moto 2.

All their (KTM's MotoGP team) riders came from Yamaha's - Bradley, Johann, Pol... and it's proven really hard to leave the easiest GP bike to ride and learn to go fast on possibly the hardest now that the Duc has improved their turning issues.

Olivera has no previous bias' or notions of how a GP bike should work so I'd guess that's why he's adapting quicker than Zarco.

I hope Zarco stays in GP but part of me wants to see him take Bautista's ride in WSBK next year and demolish the field too.

Pic = COTA Race in '16 - the year he was Moto2 Champ I believe.

Nice pic. I have one with Dovi, somewhere, from Laguna. Probably 2013 +/-. He wasn't as big as he is now.

Bautista rumoured for Honda too. Could be an interesting team Zarco/Bautista.
The only question is, have Honda built a decent super bike to replace the current CBR1000RR.
