Last week, my buddy almost entered me from behind when I slowed for a left and he never saw my left blinker come on. This is a very dangerous defect for a road bike ridden in a busy urban area!

Blinker or not, your buddy needs to have more situational awareness it seems.

Did he also not see your super bright brake light on?

notice that too on mine: one time the blinker works, then it doesn’t, then it does, then it doesn’t, then it does, then it doesn’t, then it does.... :censored:

Right on. When on the race track, there are no blinkers or tail lights, you can only react to what the other rider is doing. For me, it applies to the streets as well.
