Hey guys, I have my eyes on Duke 790. Being it a new bike there is not many of them at dealers to try in person. Hence, I figured, before I decide for sure that I want to look for this bike, I would ask riders of similar (5'10" or 177 cm) or shorter height if you feel comfortable on 790 and if you can fully place your feet down flat or have to be on your toes?

I'm 5'6'' and I have lowered the bike with the kit (which if worse comes to worst you can also do) but I don't think you'll need to. I also know of someone who is 5'5'' on this bike, which replaced his shokes to the fully adjustable WP that can't be lowered. The one complian that I have is that there are no fully adjustable shokes that can be lowered for this bike.

I will just add that I rode on the bike for two months with the stock shokes until the lowering kit arrived.

Thank you guys. I thought I should be fine, but wanted to be sure.
Now just need to find a dealer nearby to try it for myself.

Welcome to our Group..!

You will definitely be fine.

A friend of mine in SF has one, she is 5'3" with zero issues.

Why don't you go to the Moto show in Cali, coming up in a week or two, and sit on one? :smile_big:

I”m 5’5” with a 29” inseam and I have no issues. I touch the balls of both feet. The bike is narrow, light and very easy to manage.

Absolutely - the 790 is so light and narrow, I remember it felt like a toy when I first got on it after riding my 1200GS to the KTM dealers. I was grinning like a loon on the test ride ;-)

It's such a well sorted bike, so much fun to ride, glorious engine, great ergonomics - love mine!

I'm 5'10 and agree with other posters, you will be fine.
I can't quite get both feet down flat, but i almost can. The bike is so light you feel pretty confident anyway.
My old bike (v-strom) i could only just get both toes down at the same time. But you get used to it.
I would try the lower seat before changing the shocks if it bothers you.
cheaper and more comfy!

I am 5'9" with an inseam of 30" and I fit the bike fine. I bought mine from The Motor Cafe in Sunnyvale. They are moving to Campbell in a month.
