Hi all,

I picked up my 790 from Scuderia here in the city. I’ve been waiting for this bike for months and finally got my hands on it this past Friday only to be met with huge disappointments.

After riding it home I got a handful of errors for abs, traction control, and immobilizer and it wouldn’t start up again. This happened after 2 miles! It was an intermittent problem and I was able to get it to the shop. They performed a software update for the display as if that would solve it. Unsurprisingly, it did not resolve the issue and I have to take it back to the shop to have KTM look at it.

On the few rides I have been on, the bike has been nothing short of exceptional. I cannot wait to have a functioning bike!

(Maybe I should have gone with the Street Triple RS after all?)

Congrats no getting your 790.

I was at one point considering the Street for how it sounds primarily but KTM's are few where i'm from and I rather not look like everyone else.

Hello and welcome!
I feel for you mate:sad:. Hope you will get it fixed as soon as possible!
Street triple RS is a great bike-> but Triumph also has its share of problems:plain:. So its all up to personal preferences(engine/suspension/brakes/handling/ergoes-> value for money).
That's really disappointing to hear, but with luck you'll be up and running again soon. Welcome to the forum and please keep us updated on the bikes status.

Any luck getting those errors out of the way? I had a similar experience a few years ago with my 990 SD at Scuderia. A starting issue came up while it was in their care for some other work (water pump rebuild) and it was NOT generating any errors. The KTM rep from SoCal happened to be in the shop after they had no luck finding the problem and he was able to identify the cause. Took awhile.

Hoping this is resolved by now.
Also curious to know if you've found a workaround/solution to these issues yet. Sooner or later your dealer will be able to identify what's wrong, hopefully before your excitement around it dwindles during the downtime.
Always great to hear positive feedback of KTM's because prior to this I was in some Ducati communities and lets just say... you have to REALLY love Ducati.
