Kevin here, nice 790 Duke site. Presently I have a 2018 KTM 1290 SDR and a 2016 KTM 690 Duke R. Very interested in the 790 Duke which brings me here today. I've had many bikes over the last 48 years. I even had a 2008 KTM SDR 990. I really love KTM's. Haven't decided on three bikes yet; a 790 Duke, a 2019 BMW S1000RR, or a Suzuki GSX-R1000R. I should sell the 690 and get a 790 and one of the liter bikes. I still go to the track as much as I can. I work on a U.S. Navy base in Japan (I'm a retired Navy Chief) and I just love taking the young guys to the track to get them off the street riding all crazy all the time. Anyway, thanks again for the nice website.

From someone who's spent a good bit of time down in Sasebo (sasvegas!) and while I was there rode the wheels off of a supermoto (DRZ400SM), the 790 would be fantastic on the mountain roads. Since you have a bit more highway to contend with where you are than I did, it's a decent upgrade from the 690. With some upgrades, it can be a huge improvement over the 690.

Welcome hombre. I hope you buy one soon, sounds like you've had quite the collection, a real KTM'r!

Got a friend in the Navy, been in Japan for years, he's a Chief also (wife n kid), funny dude, loves moto's too.
