Anyone get the ergo seat and if so which one did you get (low, standard, or high)?
I am trying to decide between the standard and the high seat.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks:)

I went for the plus 20mm
I am only 29 inside leg
but no problems getting most of my feet on the ground
helped my bad knees and ars.
doubled my riding time before the pain sets in

I read somewhere the +20 mm Seat didn’t feel that different. Do you still have the stock seat to compare?

yes i do, it does not feel like 20mm because when you sit on it it does compress more than the standard, so it does not end up being 20mm higher for the rider

Quite a lot of cash for minimal benefit then?

It is a lil higher but more importantly much more comfortable. Also looks good

Nope.

Way way way more comfortable than stock, it’s slightly higher but not by much.

Also not that expensive, paid nearly double for a custom gel seat for my striple which reaped about the same reward comfort wise, but looked a **** of a lot better, although the ktm seat still looks great.

totally agree with you owl
I had my first ride the other day on the new seat, higher/taller spec version. I noticed it was more comfy, but also felt like i was being pushed forwards into the tank a little bit.... But it's hard to recall if it felt/feels the same on the standard seat.... So need to jump on my mates 790 and see how his seat feels.

I didn't see it as a bad thing... just an observation.
I bought the low version doesnt seem any different comfort or height wise than the stock seat. Does look a bit nicer tho.
It's mental that it's now normal that you have to buy a comfy seat. Seems to be an industry standard now sadly.

Well, well, well... I'd say it depends from the intended use.

My GPZ500S 1999 (aka EX500 in USA) had such a soft seat that was almost impossible to move while riding.
Also my CBR600F2 1994 has a soft seat making somewhat hard to move (easier than the GPZ), but the handling was so good I didn't really need to move much on the seat in road riding.

The TRX had a very hard seat compared to the GPZ and the first time riding I could not make more than 100km before needing a long break for my sore b**t.
But the TRX was so hard to steer that moving on the seat was a must, so it was useful to have an easy movement on it.

I guess that for the intended "fun bike" use (aka disconnected brain throttle brutality show) of the duke 790 being able to feel the bike an move freely was considered the primary objective of the seat.

My GPZ500S 1999...
I’m guessing Bombs’ is referring to current models?
