Hey everyone,

Im wondering what you would recommend as the best exhaust for my new 890R. I haven't even heard it run yet as it's still being built. However I like the sound of an aftermarket exhaust. I put the Leo Vince on LV1 on my 390 and it made it sound better with the baffle pulled out. Just wondering what u guys think. I am sorry if there is already a thread about this. I'm new here and don't know all the ways to navigate it yet.

Take into account you should NOT expect performance gains with any Slip-On on the 890R. And the short low volume slip-ons have been shown to reduce top end power.
And be aware that the 890R is Euro5 so many pipes listed for the 890R from Eur (and a shed load of pipes are Italian) do not have an easily removable baffle.

It comes down to aesthetics more than anything.

And a question - are you intending to fit a tail tidy? - if so than be aware that some slip-ons jet hot gas straight at the indicators of TailTidies.

Wait 'till it arrives - play with it and then start looking at "options".

That is great advise thank you! I appreciate your input. I do want to put a tail tidy on it. I am more just looking for cool sound and look. I can't wait to get my new bike! It's going to be a few weeks unfortunately.

Can I ask where you picked up the small cargo bag that looks great. Would save me having to wear a back pack.
Totally......Hepco & Becker Sportrack and the Held Tenda tailbag. Moto Machines sells the rack and a couple sites offer the Held but everyone was out of stock........I found the bag on eBay and the rack on Amazon, believe it or not!

I’m planning to put a Wings exhaust on mine, Ive seen them and heard them on other KTMs and theyre pretty sweet.
I run a Wings. I mailed before hand and they sent it un-labelled and with the Carbon in Matte. A little bit "stealth".
It points out a bit too - Not just up and back. I mention this in case you're considering luggage.

A lot of threads and a lot of recommendations about exhausts in the appropriate section.

When it comes to slip-ons, I would agree with others and say whatever looks/sounds good to you. You will find very little performance advantages.

If you are looking for performance, you will have to take a more committed route, probably go for a full system, or at least a decat, and some tuning. Make sure you know what it is that you are after.

Hi Dean, Have you concidered the Hindle exhaust from Ontario? Well made and good value.
I got the Evolution one that is a header back cat-delete unit. I installed the db killer as it was too lud without it, now it's fine (louder than stock but not too much). I also installed a Booster plug to fatten up the a/r ratio a bit. Again good value. With the O2 sensors ahead of the deleted cat fuelling is OK. Good luck :)
Hi Dean, Have you concidered Hindle exhaust? Made in Ontario it is well made, not too high (signal lights?) and good value. I have the evolution slip-on with a cat delete. With the O2 sensors in the header ahead of the cat fueling shoulnd't
