Hi everyone,

new to the forum, nice to get to know you and I hope someone can help or had similar issue.

My 790 has troubles revving up above 4/5K rev. It starded a couple of weeks ago and got worse. Now it's unusable.

Since the issue insurged the day after washing the bike, i thought some water could have ended up in the tank, so i emptied it and filled with fresh gas but no luck, the problem persists.

I am guessing it could be the fuel pump. I would like to have a rough idea of the issue before i take it to the dealer, my guarantee is over.


Has anyone had a similar issue?

Thank you, that's what i thought and actually i know other 790 users who had a similar problem and they all reported fuel pump malfuncioning.
I took mine to the dealer and they say it's actually a sensor in the clutch. That seems unlikely but i sure hope they are right, a fuel pump is over 400€...

My bike has only 24K kms on it and it's really upsetting to start having this kind of problems...
