G'day Falcon,
Another member from Oz here. Spoke to store here in Brisbane, and he said he just spoke to KTM rep... heard the same June/July for Australia was the last advice he got and around $16K.
At least we get time to read what other riders overseas really think, before they arrive in Oz.

G day Zank, my local boys here in Perth are saying they might see at least a demo here next month, hope they are right.
U tube now has a few vids on the bike launch in Spain, but most of the Jernos don't speak English unfortunately, bike looks great, cant wait to get my hands on one!

I cant wait for this bike to be released, suppose to be June here in oz, and suppose to be about 15K, nearly the same price as the current 690 Duke..

Cheers Joe
Hey guys,

The Duke is already here in Oz. I preordered Black/Silver, so was able to get my hands on the first one sold in SA, three weeks back. The dealer I bought from now also has a demo, which they said hasn't spent much time in the shop with the amount of people test riding it. :)

Still breaking mine in with only 300km on the odometer, but it's an epic ride none the less. I'm stepping up from my first bike which is a Honda CRF250x converted to motard, so you can understand for me this is a whole new world.

However, I have also compared the Duke it to my brothers Triumph Street Triple RX, as we've done a bit of bike swapping and my personal preference is the Duke. For me it falls into corners with less effort and has a more motard feeling to it.

PowerParts are really hard to get as the bike is so new. Even a number of European dealers I contacted are out of stock and waiting on backorders several months away.

I have however managed to secure an Akrapovic Slip On, Pillion Seat Cover, New PowerParts Seat, PowerParts Bar End Mirrors, Tail Tidy from RG Racing, Exhaust bracket so I can remove the pillion foot pegs, KTM My Ride and PowerParts Graphics Kit which are mostly due to turn up in the next week with the RG Racing stuff a couple of weeks away. Yeah I went to town on it, but it should look epic after the upgrades, especially the mirrors, tail tidy and pillion seat cover will go along way to clean it up. :)
