History
Originally a 350cc Triumph twin. Started by putting a Shorrock supercharger on it and it regularly lost its piston crowns at the oil control rings. To cut down the mean piston speed, I fitted a cut down 500cc barrel and head and machined a short stroke crankshaft in the university labs to make it a very oversquare 350. The development work would fill a book on its own! Eventually, it became the 3rd fastest 350 over the 1/4 mile and unofficially, the fastest 350 in the world over the standing start mile in 1969. A new job, lack of funds, eventual marriage and emigrating to NZ put paid to further development.
