Spotted out and about

Seeing a a lot more 790's around these days, thought it would be good to have a spotted thread.

Post where you saw a 790 on your travels and some details, please be careful, no doxxing, plates etc.

Saw and Orange 790 with a rear seat cowl this morning near Clapham South, London

Hi there,

I cant believe this, I think this is 99% me.
(I came on here looking to see if anyone has posted anything about brake pads but I seen this and I had to sign up to reply.)

I'm pretty sure you pulled up to the left of me at those lights and I was ecstatic to see another 790 on the road? would that be correct?

How you enjoying the bike?

Thanks buddy.

Cheers for that also.

I love the bike but i've had issue after issue with it unfortunately.

Day one arrival the front brake light switch was DOA.
Day 3 I had a leak from the engine casing, ruined my right boot and headers.

Warped front brake disks... got this repaired under warranty quite quickly and was told I was lucky as someone has been waiting 3 months for brake disks to arrive.

Now the current brake disks have warped again.

I don't know how I feel about this. Bike of my dreams and i've put so much money into it its actually kind of a drag now and again with issue after issue.
I love the thing but its been a nightmare.

Hope yours is going well?

sorry to read of your issues
the front brake light switch should have been checked and replaced during PDI its a hydraulic one located on the top of the ABS unit under the tank, no once else has reported this issue.

oil leaks a few have been reported unfortunately, nearly all have been sorted quickly by the dealer network.

no one else has reported disc warpage let alone 2 sets!! I ride hard and 2 up mine are still good after 4000 miles are you running original pads?

Sorry to hear about those issues man, where did you get the bike from by the way? As in which dealer?
As like AOT says that brake light should definitely have been picked up in PDI.

You must be giving the brakes quite the work out to warp those discs, havenít heard anyone else mention the issue yet. Are they the stock discs?

Nothing major on mine yet

I've had the same problems as SushiSmell, the brake discs were condemned in mid-August by my dealer, the stoplight switch went in July, neither replacement is in stock yet. I also had the oil discharge from around the gearbox sprocket but I think that was coming from an accumulation of chain lube under the sprocket cover.
KTM's spares and PP supply is useless, I suppose their staff are all working their 'taters off to get the Adventure models out for the show season.
I was told at the NEC show that the windscreen deliveries had been brought forward to Dec but they seem to have drifted back to Jan now.
Despite this I still love the bike though.

Good morning chaps,

The brake light switch was replaced but I had to wait a few days unfortunately and this was bloody day 1 - strange that this got missed...

Ive used the bike to travel over Europe and I commute on it daily, Iíve done over 4500 miles on it now from new, the brakes have been like this from new and its not making me happy since its been replaced as the same issues are happing again.
