Bar end mirrors

'anotheronetoday' has commented that the KTM Powerparts mirrors, whilst expensive work well. I was wondering if anybody has fitted any other non OEM bar end mirrors & if so with what results??

On a few pics I've seen them mounted 'below the grips'. Definitely look good, but what about visibility? How low do you have to divert your vision? Maybe slightly nerdy questions, but.....

I sat on a 790 at the dealers today that had the PP bar end mirrors fitted in the low position.

You had to literally take your hand off the grip to view the mirror... Looked bloody cool tho.

Garage
tried my PP mirrors low and i agree useless but looks good.
I have two pairs of aftermarket that fit cost less than 25 and work well as bar end mirrors but do not look as good as the PP mirrors.

Hi mate, have fitted a pair I got of ebay (see Issues page for pics)They are actually really good and the rear view is better than the standard mirrors and they look pretty good too and as a bonus they only cost 22.50 euros.

Forgive me if you've already said, but do you have the make & model?

In the absence of anything else & not wanting to shell out on the PP ones, Im probably going to go for the Puig Hi-Tech 4. 92 for both.

Just found these whilst looking for something else
MFW do make quality stuff and I expect these bar end mirrors to be of good quality and the price appears good compared to KTM expensive powerpart stuff.

Vario-Superbikemirrors
Wrong shape for a Duke i reckon.

I bought these

A third of the price of the KTM mirrors with a similar look. The glass isnt as good tho... about as good as the standard mirrors.

Innocent question, but do they fit straight on or is some adaptation needed?

Hi mate, sorry I didn't get back about your question.Im fairly new at this forum game and still finding my way around a bit.I put more info about the mirrors on the "Issues"thread .They were pretty cheap(20.00) but are really good quality and they work really well and give a good rear view with no vibes.
I mounted them slightly different with some inserts from some hand guards I had lying about just so I could keep part of the original bar end weight. The original fittings look ok though but Im not sure if they would vibrate more or not. Will try and give it a go with the original fittings on one of the mirrors so see the difference.
Will let you know when Ive given it a go.
